About the Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and creative Stakeholder Communications Officer to join the Media and Communications Team within the Office of the CEO for a prominent State Government agency. This team is responsible for the leadership and delivery of public relations and communications that enhance brand recognition and stakeholder engagement across Western Australia.

Role Details

  • Pay Rate: $64.23 per hour + Superannuation.
  • Location: Subiaco, WA
  • Contract Length: Current engagement until 29/01/2027.
  • Reporting Line: Reports to the Manager Stakeholder Communications.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will focus on internal communications and engagement strategies to foster a positive organizational culture and support business objectives.

  • Strategy & Planning: Support the development and implementation of communication strategies and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Content Creation: Create high-quality content across print, online, and digital channels, including intranet articles, internal newsletters, and EDMs.
  • Executive Support: Assist in developing speech notes and presentations for the CEO and Executive team.
  • Digital & Multimedia: Develop short videos and provide photography support to enhance internal storytelling.
  • Event Management: Provide planning and support for internal events, such as "lunch'n'learns" and all-staff meetings.
  • Analysis: Monitor the success of communication outputs using data from surveys and channels like MailChimp.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  1. Strategic Communications: Experience developing and implementing communication plans across diverse audiences.
  2. Content Production: Proficiency in creating and editing high-quality written, video, and digital content.
  3. Writing Skills: The ability to prepare specialized materials including bespoke EDMs, video scripts, and speech notes.
  4. Interpersonal Excellence: Strong skills in building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to provide communication advice.
  5. Event Coordination: Proven experience leading the planning and organization of events with effective time management.
